Why we changed 3D Printing Business from B2B to B2C.

Why we changed 3D Printing Business from B2B to B2C.

Usually, every invention developed starts as a piece of industrial equipment for development. Take, for example, Before Apple came Computers are used as an industrial machine for complex calculations and problem-solving. IBM was once a Computer Giant where now IBM has become quiet. Apple has changed the total B2B (Business to Business) Industry to Consumer Industry. Thanks to Apple I can able to buy my own Computer as an Individual and do the same complex calculations and various beneficial activities that Giant Businesses use. See, here the complete change of B2B to B2C (Business to consumer) Industry revolutionized humanity into a greater thought of freedom, right, and expression of individuals on the green planet. Likewise, Joby Reuben had thought of changing this entire 3D Printing Industrial Industry from Prototyping to Consumer Industry in the go.

We should consider this

When anyone starts a startup to revolutionize or completely change a system which accounts for 1% of Manufacturing is quite hard. But still, we can change and the world definitely needs this. Basically, 3D Printing has evolved in the ’80s, Now it is 2020, and still, people in urban and rural places don’t know a clue about 3D Printing and how it works. If we tend to say the difference between the various dimensions 1D,2D,3D most educated people will recollect what they have been taught in their High School. So clearly the 3D Printing Technology is hidden to the majority of the People in India.

Why 3D Printing is hidden?

Various factors have contributed to hiding the news and enlightenment about how 3D Printer works and the awesomeness of it. Price is one of the factors which contribute more. Usually, People who 3D Print charge 25 rupees per gram / 0.33 USD per gram which is very costly according to an average person’s point of view. Industries that need to do prototyping lavishly will invest money in printing their prototypes and testing purposes. But Average people will think of it as a Money Burning Machine. Which is actually not true. 3D Printing is Affordable!

The Truth

Right Now in 2020 The filaments (raw materials) for 3D Printing costs 0.75p – 1Rupee per gram / 0.010 USD per gram. So you can buy a 1 kg filament to print products till 1 kg of weight. Thus, you add the electricity charges, man work, post-processing which account s for 1.5- 2 rupee per gram. So easily you can print a 30-gram product with an investment of 60 rupees. Even if you have very great tools and other professional types of equipment the Price per gram for 3D Printing will not exceed 4 Rupees. So I know it is ridiculously high profit for Industrial 3D Printers to print for Clients at 25 Rupees per gram. But wait, They are clients, not consumers, they are outnumbered. That’s why we would like to change the whole Industry to B2C.

Benefits of B2C 3D Printing

As a quote goes “Customer is King”, not Clients. Usually, B2C Products are aimed at 50% as a good profit margin for their products. So Printing at 2rupees per gram and selling at 4 rupees per gram is a 50% percent margin profit. The volume of Orders for a 3D Printshop would be greater than of Industrial orders. A sustainable business can be built on B2C 3D Printing.

Auguth – First B2C 3D Printing Company

The Founder and CEO Joby Reuben, have initiated the B2C Model for 3D Printing. Anyone can Design, Anyone can Print, Anyone can Sell is the core concept of auguth.
